Jesus commissioned His apostles<I>, </I><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FF0000" FACE="Arial" ><I>Go ye therefore, and teach </I><I><B>all nations</B></I><I>, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe </I><I><B>all things whatsoever I have commanded you</B></I><I>: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.</I></FONT> (<B>Matthew 28:19-20</B>). After His ascension to the right hand of God (<B>Hebrews 1:3;  8:1;  10:12; 12:2</B>), Jesus sent the Holy Spirit unto His apostles to <I>...</I><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FF0000" FACE="Arial" ><I>teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, </I><I><B>whatsoever I have said unto you</B></I><B> </B></FONT>(<B>John 14:26</B>). There are those who say Jesus did not address the matter of homosexuality. Not so. The Holy Spirit, sent by Jesus,  inspired the apostle Paul to write in<B> I Corinthians 6:9-10</B>, <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><I>Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Gambling is the fruit of covetousness. The Greek word for <I>“covetousness”</I> literally means <I>“a desire to have more, always in a bad sense, is used in a general way in </I><I><B>Mark 7:22; Rom. 1:29; Eph. 5:3; I Thess. 2:5.</B></I><I>”</I> Jesus said in <B>Mark 7:20-23</B>, <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FF0000" FACE="Arial" >“<I>That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, </I><I><B>covetousness</B></I><I>, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: all </I><I><B>these evil things </B></I><I>come from within, and </I><I><B>defile the man</B></I><I>.”</I> </FONT>The amount involved in gambling is inconsequential; it is the motivation manifested in action which is soul-damning. The mindset of humanity is, <I>“</I><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><I>If some good comes from doing evil, then the evil is good”</I> </FONT>(<B>Romans 3:8</B>). Such is lie. The <I>“covetous”</I> are explicitly identified <B>I Corinthians 6:10</B> among those who <I>“</I><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><I>...shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”</I></FONT></div> <div> <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >The Christians comprising the Lord's church in Ephesus were admonished by the apostle Paul in <B>Ephesians 5:3</B>, </FONT><I>“But fornication, and all uncleanness, or </I><I><B>covetousness</B></I><I>, </I><I><U>let it not be once named among you</U></I><I>, as becometh saints.”</I> <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >Heaven has spoken. One time is one time too many! The amount is not at issue. The consequences are clear. The Greek word for <I>“lasciviousness”</I> literally means <I>“wanton (acts or) manners, as filthy words, indecent bodily movements, unchaste handling of males and females, etc.”</I> (<B><U>A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament</U></B><B>, Joseph Henry Thayer, DD, p. 79, #766</B>). Jesus said in<B> Mark 7:20-23,</B> <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FF0000" FACE="Arial" >“<I>That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, </I><I><B>lasciviousness</B></I><I>, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: all </I><I><B>these evil things </B></I><I>come from within, and </I><I><B>defile the man</B></I><I>.”</I></FONT> Lasciviousness is listed in <B>Galatians 5:19-21</B> as a sin which will deny one a place in the kingdom of God. It's a  sin that leads to fornication and, thus, in too many cases to conception of illegitimate children. That condition then leads to ungodly decisions about abortion, or to a hastily arranged marriage, which more times than not, ends in divorce. The words of the Master, the Lord Jesus Christ are,</FONT> <I>“If ye continue in </I><I><B>my word</B></I><I>, then are ye my disciples indeed”</I> <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >(<B>John 8:31</B>). No one who rejects any portion of His doctrine can truly be a disciple of His.</FONT></div> <div> <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >Every time Jesus talked about the marriage relationship it was with reference to a man (male) and a woman (female). Jesus said in <B>Matthew 19:6-9</B>, </FONT><I>“Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them </I><I><B>male</B></I><I> and </I><I><B>female</B></I><I>, and said, For this cause shall a </I><I><B>man</B></I><I> leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his </I><I><B>wife</B></I><I>: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”</I><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" > Mark records the exact same conversation in <B>Mark 10:6-9</B>.</FONT></div> <div> <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >When the Holy Spirit directed apostles wrote about the marriage relationship it was always with reference to a man (male) and a woman (female). In <B>Ephesians 5:23</B>, the apostle Paul penned these words: </FONT><I>“For the </I><I><B>husband</B></I><I> is the head of the </I><I><B>wife</B></I><I>...as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the </I><I><B>wives </B></I><I>be to their own </I><I><B>husbands </B></I><I>in every thing. </I><I><B>Husbands</B></I><I>, love your </I><I><B>wives</B></I><I>, even as Christ also loved the church...So ought </I><I><B>men </B></I><I>to love their </I><I><B>wives </B></I><I>as their own bodies. </I><I><B>He </B></I><I>that loveth </I><I><B>his wife </B></I><I>loveth himself.”</I></div> <div> The God-ordained institution of marriage is reserved for <B>a male</B> and <B>a female</B>. The Pharisees and scribes had seen the disciples of Jesus eat with unwashed hands (<B>Mark 7:2</B>). They asked Jesus, </FONT><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><I>“Why do your disciples not walk according to </I><I><B>the tradition of the elders</B></I><I>, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”</I> </FONT><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >(<B>Mark 7:5</B>). </FONT><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><I>“He answered and said unto them,</I></FONT><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" ><I> </I></FONT><I>`Well did Isaiah prophesy of </I><I><B>you hypocrites</B></I><I>, as it is written: “This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines </I><I><B><U>the commandments of men</U></B></I><I>.” For </I><I><B>laying aside the commandment of God</B></I><I>, </I><I><B><U>you hold the tradition of men </U></B></I><I>- the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such thing you do...All too well you </I><I><B>reject the commandment of God,</B></I><I> that you may keep </I><I><B><U>your tradition</U></B></I><I>”</I><FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" > (<B>Mark 7:5-9</B>).</FONT></div> <div>    The only place one can learn of the origin of the Easter celebration is from the writings of men...not the Commandments of God! <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><I>“And whatever you do in word or deed, do </I><I><B>all</B></I><I> in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him”</I></FONT> (<B>Colossians 3:17</B>). No place in the New Testament - the complete doctrine of Christ - can one find direction <B>for</B> Easter; <B>how</B> to observe it; nor <B>when</B> to observe it. Jesus said in <B>Matthew 5:17</B>, <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#FF0000" FACE="Arial" ><I>“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”</I></FONT></div> <div>    Once He fulfilled the law - Mosaic law - He nailed it to His cross. <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><I>And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, </I><I><B>nailing it to his cross</B></I><I>”</I> </FONT>(<B>Colossians 2:13-14</B>). Consequently, no tenet of the law of Moses may be incorporated into the doctrine of Christ by men without being severed from Christ. <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><I>“And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor </I><I><B>to keep the whole law</B></I><I>. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace”</I> </FONT>(<B>Galatians 5:3-4</B>). <I>“Tithing”</I> (giving 10%) is a practice imposed upon Jews through the law of Moses which Jesus nailed to the cross. Jesus made no such decree in His doctrine - anywhere. Nowhere  in the doctrine of Jesus Christ is mention made of the use of mechanical instruments of music in worship.
