HEED THE WARNING
AVOID THE CONSEQUENCE
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, …. shall inherit the kingdom of God.
(I Corinthians 6:9-10)
The Greek word for “fornicator” found in this passage is pornos and is defined as one who indulges in fornication. The Greek word for “fornication” is porneia and is defined in the Greek-English Lexicon as, “illicit sexual intercourse.” Such is illicit because it is outside the bond of marriage. The Bible says, “Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband” (I Corinthians 7:2). It matters not that we are in the 21st century. Fornication contributes to the decadence of a community, a county, a state, a nation. Make America stronger; be chaste!

AVOID THE CONSEQUENCE

The Greek word for “idolaters” is eidololatres and is defined as an image servant or image worshipper. The warning is against turning away from God to idolatry, whether openly or secretly, consciously or unconsciously. “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). Make America stronger; worship and serve God alone!

The Greek word for “adulterer” is moichos and is defined as one who has unlawful intercourse with the spouse of another. Jesus said: “Whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart” (Matthew 5:28); “Whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery; and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery” (Matthew 5:32). Make America strong; honor and respect the God-ordained institution of marriage of one man to one woman for life.

HEED THE WARNING
AVOID THE CONSEQUENCE
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate…. shall inherit the kingdom of God.
(I Corinthians 6:9-10)
The Greek word for “effeminate” is malakos and is defined as persons who are guilty of addiction to sins of the flesh; voluptuous. The idea in this word is sexual perversion. Such is described in Romans 1:26-27. “For this reason God gave them over to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the mean, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.” Make America strong; honor and respect the God-ordained role of male and female.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind... shall inherit the kingdom of God. (I Corinthians 6:9-10)
The Greek word for “abusers of themselves with mankind” is arsenokoites and is defined as one who lies with a male as with a female, a sodomite (Strong's, #733). “But we know the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God…” (I Timothy 1:8-11, NASB). Make America strong; honor and respect the God-ordained role of male and female.

AVOID THE CONSEQUENCE
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves... shall inherit the kingdom of God. (I Corinthians 6:9-10)
The Greek word kleptes is translated thieves in this passage. Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon says it is “an embezzler; pilferer.” A disciple of Jesus Christ is one who labors that he might be able to give to others not take from them. “Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth” (Ephesians 4:28). Anyone who takes anything of which he is not owner is a thief whether it be material goods or even the spouse or children of another. The value is immaterial. Rightful ownership makes the difference! “Provide things honest in the sight of all men” (Romans 12:17b). Make America strong. Do not steal anything of which you are not the owner.

The Greek word pleonektes is translated covetous in this passage. Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon says: “(1) one eager to have more, esp. what belongs to others; (2) greedy of gain, covetous” (#4120, page 516). Jesus said in Luke 12:15, “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” Greed for gain is the motivation behind gambling. Greed is the vice gratified in playing games of chance for money as happens at casinos. Such leads to moral decadence without question. “But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows” (I Timothy 6:9-10). Make America strong. “...godliness with contentment is great gain” (I Timothy 6:6).

The Greek word methusos is translated drunkards in this passage. Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible says: “to drink to intoxication, i.e. get drunk” (#8134, Greek Dictionary of the New Testament, page 62). The disciple of Jesus Christ is careful not to impair his ability to make sound judgments in his actions. Drunkenness does not characterize godliness. “But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come” (I Timothy 4:7-8). “Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.” (Romans 13:13-14). Make America strong. Avoid drunkenness which impairs good judgment in every facet of life. It does not solve problems - it just creates them. Our roads and homes will be safer, more enjoyable, loving, and nurturing!

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers... shall inherit the kingdom of God. (I Corinthians 6:9-10)
The Greek word loidoros is translated revilers in this passage. Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible says: “from loidos (mischief); abusive, i.e. a blackguard; railer, reviler” (#3060, Greek Dictionary of the New Testament, page 59). The same word is used in the Septuagint version (Greek version of the Old Testament) in Proverbs 25:24, “It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.” Again, from Proverbs 26:21, “As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.” We learn from these passages that the disciple of Jesus Christ is not one who uses coarse, harsh, and bitter words; not one to abuse others whether mentally or physically. One cannot be a Christian and wound the feelings of others. Such is contrary to the very spirit of Jesus Christ, Who, the Bible says, “...when He was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, He threatened not...” (I Peter 2:23). Make America strong. Be kind and compassionate toward all. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

HEED THE WARNING
AVOID THE CONSEQUENCE
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God. (I Corinthians 6:9-10)
The Greek word harpax is translated extortioners in this passage. Harpage, a derivative of harpax is a noun which “denotes pillage, plundering, robbery, extortion [akin to harpazo, to seize, carry off by force, and harpagmos, a thing seized, or the act of seizing; from the root arp (sic), seen in Eng., rapacious”] (Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words, W.E. Vine, p. 64, Fleming H. Revell Company, 1966). Persons of such character are to be excluded from the fellowship of the church established by Jesus Christ. “But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat” (I Corinthians 5:11). Taking by force that which belongs to another is dishonest and unacceptable by God. Make America strong. “Provide things honest in the sight of all men” (Romans 12:17). “And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; that ye walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing” (I Thessalonians 4:11-12).
